Opening up post lockdown

Following the easing of coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions things are starting to open up. The White Lion, which had been doing takeaway dinners, is now open. William Hill is open as is Santander bank. The children's carousel is operating but has had very few customers.

The roundabout on Hyde Market was manufactured by Halsteads of Sowerby Bridge in 1897. It was established on Hyde Market in 1919 by John William (Jack) Greaves. In the 1920s he passed it to his daughter Lily and her husband Bill Cooke. It has now been in the Cooke family for three generations.
