An arson attack took place at this farm on the night of 17 September 1997. 2,000 bales of hay, 1,000 bales of straw, two trailers, seed corn and a new grass cutter were all destroyed. There was considerable damage to the buildings and it took the fire service over 24 hours to ensure the fire was totally extinguished.
