Overgrown pleached beech hedge
Overgrown pleached beech hedge
This old hedge was the boundary between farmland and the open mountain. Long ago there was a living, pleached hedge of beech, ash and other species. Barbed wire has since provided a low cost fence and some of the hedge has grown to become mature trees.
