taken 4 years ago, near to Stainton, Cumbria, England

Stainton Crossing Bridge
Stainton Crossing Bridge
Built from limestone blocks, Stainton Crossing Bridge carries a minor road over a disused section of the Lancaster Canal. The canal bridge number is on the oval metal plate and there is an Ordnance Survey benchmark on one of the dressed stone voussoirs (detail photograph SD5285 : Benchmark, Stainton Crossing Bridge).
