Union Canal at Gilmore Park
Rope Walk apartments on the right, Edinburgh Quay offices and commercial buildings in the centre, and a hotel under construction on the left.
Union Canal
A 31 mile long canal from Fountainbridge, Edinburgh to Falkirk, where it joins the Forth and Clyde Canal. It was built between 1818-22 and closed commercially in the 1930s. Today it is used for water based recreation.
