After a gentle trim, a cut benchmark saw the light of day for the first time in many years. Shown on the 1880 & 1914 North Riding OS Maps, it was not recorded by the OS in 1954 and has possibly been hidden from view for 80 years or more..
It has a spot height of 239.1ft.
