Castles of Munster: Court, Limerick (1)

This U-shaped tower once may have formed part of a twin-towered gatehouse. In 1583 it was held by Garry MacGibbon MacRenold, and by Henry Widenham in 1702. There is a staircase within the tower having a latrine on one side.
