Deptmore (Deepmoor) Lock
Deptmore (Deepmoor) Lock
Rob Pendleton leaves the bottom of Deptmore (Deepmoor) Lock on the Staffs & Worcester Canal in dayboat Penny.
We lived there from 1960-1964.
Deptmore Lock was known as Deepmoor Lock then. The Lock has a rise-fall of 10'3".
Our day boat was the only means of getting to school or Dad to work.
Dad bought Deepmoor, as it was known then, from British Waterways for £150, totally derelict.
