Saint Francis Church
Saint Francis Church
St Francis Church is a small church situated on Schneider Road, Barrow-in-Furness, with a distinctive spire topped with a weather vane in the form of a fish. The present building was consecrated 16 July 1955 to serve a new housing estate, replacing a former mission church. It serves the communities of Ormsgill, the Schneider Estate and the Cemetery Cottages and beyond to Parkside near the former church of St Matthew.
