Anti-tank cylinder in the River Till downstream of Ford Bridge
One of three anti-tank cylinders associated with Ford Bridge. These defences were usually made by pouring concrete into a length of drainage pipe, and like this example are 2' diameter and 3' tall. Another cylinder is against the north-eastern Ford Bridge parapet a short distance to the east and a third is believed to be in vegetation beside the bridge.
Two pillboxes and a dugout are also noted to be in the vicinity; only one pillbox has been located at present.
