SD6178 : County plaque, Church Brow

taken 5 years ago, near to Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, England

County plaque, Church Brow
County plaque, Church Brow
The plaque records the merger of the counties of Westmorland and Cumberland as Cumbria in 1974. After 46 years it is rather overgrown with ivy, but unlike some other local government entities created at that time, Cumbria has survived.
