Stanier 8F 48513 collects vans from the exchange siding. The three vertical white stripes on the van indicate that this is a 'Shockvan' with additional springing to limit damage to fragile goods. Note also the shunter's pole parked on the rear of the tender. This was used for attaching and detaching the 3-link couplings.
