Railway trackbed near Stathern
The Stathern to Saxondale section of the Great Northern and London and North Western Railways' joint Nottingham and Melton Mowbray line, looking north west. The line was created around 1880 to tap the local ironstone traffic and passenger traffic was always very light. The line closed in 1953.
