Former chapel of St Mary, Barnstone
Former chapel of St Mary, Barnstone
This was a chapel of ease within the parish of Langar cum Barnstone, built in 1856 to replace an earlier chapel. It was made redundant in 2017. It was put on the market in September 2020 with planning permission for conversion to a 4-bedroom dwelling. My visit happened to coincide with the visit of a team removing the two bells from the chapel, so I was able to get this view of the inside, still with all the fitments in place.
