Swans at Shapwick Heath
Swans at Shapwick Heath
The birds are on one of the many pools reclaimed from exhausted peat workings in the NNR; photograph taken from the old railway trackbed. The reedbeds are home to bitterns. The linear settlement in the distance is the village of Meare.
