The distinctive white dome is the pressurized-water reactor of Sizewell B nuclear power station, approved in the 1980s and still generating power which is carried off to the grid by the twin pylon lines seen here. To the right is the early 1960s Magnox reactor of the original Sizewell station (later known as Sizewell A), now decommissioned.
