Garsdale Railway Station, at one time known as Hawes Junction, photographed from a north bound Diesel Multiple Unit shortly to stop en route to Carlisle. In steam days this was a very busy location but at the time of my visit the line was under threat of closure, happily this was not carried out and trains still stop here albeit without the forward view of former days.
