SN5751 : Silian

taken 11 years ago, near to Silian, Ceredigion/Sir Ceredigion, Great Britain

Silian is a small village northwest of Lampeter, consisting two central clusters of houses surrounded by widely dispersed farms, smallholdings and scattered cottages. This view looks across Nant Tawelan towards the church of St. Sulien (or Julian in some texts) in the southwest of the grid-square. The churchyard is supposed to be home to a monument ornamented with 'runic knots' but if it's still there I can't find it.
