Ordnance Survey 1GL bolt benchmark levelled at 33.705m above Newlyn Datum verified 1969. The mark was previously levelled at 110.394 feet above Liverpool Datum during the 1843/4 Kendal to Carlisle 1GL Survey. The surveyor's description was 'No. 340. Bolt in North corner of Wigton Church tower ; 4.63 ft. above surface'
