This tree is over 280 years old.
A protective fence has been erected around it by the National Trust.
It still produces an abundant crop of nuts.
Tredegar House Country Park

A 90 acre park, woodland and lake adjacent to Tredegar House and gardens.
The house and gardens are in the care of the National Trust and an admission charge applies.
There is free access to the country park during daylight hours.
