Mill Road revisited, Christmas 2020 :: TL4657
At Christmas 2008 and 2009 I took photos of the shops along the Petersfield part of Mill Road, taking advantage of the unusual lack of motor traffic and parked delivery vehicles. In 2020 I recreated these sequences as a record of change or constancy: the new sequence starts with TL4558 : Mill Road revisited (1). Out of 63 premises, 20 still bear the same name, 25 are in (very broadly) similar lines of business, and 18 have changed completely. The 2009 sequence (northern end) starts with TL4558 : A walk down Mill Road (1) and 2008 (southern end) with TL4657 : Christmas Day on Mill Road (1).
