The Old Furnace
Remains of the original iron furnace, originally of 1638 and then repaired and improved by Abraham Darby III in 1777. Grade I listed - see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . Behind is the Coalbrookdale Viaduct built in 1864 eventually forming part of the Wellington to Craven Arms railway, which continued in use for trains supplying the Ironbridge power stations at Buildwas until the closure of the B power station in 2015.
