Colwick Cutting cliffs – 2
Colwick Cutting cliffs – 2
Classic Trent Valley cliffs of Mercian Mudstones, probably the most spectacular as the railway line at the foot means that they do not have the adjacent screen of trees that other locations such as Radcliffe-on-Trent, Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Clifton and Gunthorpe. Frustratingly difficult to photograph, as this would require trespass on railway land. The cliffs are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest LinkExternal link
