Passing Sandhills Station – 1967
Passing Sandhills Station – 1967
Taken from a steam hauled train heading for Preston. This view shows the station before its modernisation as part of the Merseyrail network Link . The four platforms, largely to the north of Sandhills Lane, were reduced to two on an island platform, entirely to the south of Sandhills Lane.
