When the snow on the pavement is deep and with very little motor traffic, the vehicle tracks in the centre of the road were an easier option for this parent and child.

14 January saw the deepest snowfall in this part of Leeds for at least five years (about 8cm). The black-and-white photos in this set were taken on a digital camera after dark with a ISO setting of 3200 and exposure times between 1/125 and 1/15 second.
