Earlier in the day when the snow was falling steadily, five buses got stuck trying to climb the hill, despite the road having been gritted earlier. They had been rescued by the evening.

14 January saw the deepest snowfall in this part of Leeds for at least five years (about 8cm). The black-and-white photos in this set were taken on a digital camera after dark with a ISO setting of 3200 and exposure times between 1/125 and 1/15 second.
