Marr Bridge, near Anlaby
Bridge carrying the B1232 Beverley Road over the storm culvert, built in 2017/18 as part of the Anlaby and East Ella Flood Alleviation Scheme. The culvert directs water from higher ground to the north and west into temporary storage lagoons. This aims to reduce the likelihood of a repeat of the extensive flooding in 2007, by diverting water from local drainage systems after heavy and prolonged rainfall.
