Across the centre of the photo is the Canley Brook, apparently still briskly flowing in its course, a deep straight channel here. The plans show it being realigned in a sizeable loop. Guessing, the realignment could reduce the risk and extent of flooding and any consequent damage to the substructure of the track. There has clearly been a flood, evident in January: SP3073 : HS2 works at Crackley, January 2021 (4). On the left is the A429 Kenilworth Road, also due to be realigned.
