Gravestone of Lieutenant H.S.Farebrother, churchyard of Ss. Peter & Paul, Stallingborough, North East Lincolnshire.

H S Farebrother served with the 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment in Mesopotamia. He was three times mentioned in Despatches, and was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous bravery at the battle of Shaiba. It was there, on April 12th, 1915, he received the wounds from which he died in London, on July 24th, 1916.
