Road closure sign, Lea Lane, Wolverley, Worcs
Lea Lane provides the most direct road link between the villages of Wolverley and Cookley. Although to be more accurate it was the most direct link, because for the past two years (as at March 2021) there has been a section closed to motor vehicles. A burst water main caused a landslide with part of the road, trees and soil falling into the Staffs & Worcs Canal below. The canal was blocked but cleared. However at present the road still remains blocked around the landslide.
