taken 4 years ago, near to Binegar, Somerset, England

Unoriginal entrance to Maesbury Castle
Unoriginal entrance to Maesbury Castle
Maesbury Castle has two entrances, one SE and the other in the NW. However, the passage of time and plenty of farm activity since has made the outlines less pronounced. Here at the NE, the ramparts have been subject to some degradation and infill, providing an unofficial entry point.
