Standing on the churchyard boundary by the roadside the statue (restored 2000) of the mason-engraver Robert Paterson, ‘Old Mortality’ & his pony.
Notable stones in the churchyard include a Covenanter's stone and a war grave. The Parish Church dates from 1753.
