taken 3 years ago, 4 km NE of Attical, Co Down, Northern Ireland

Water Boundary post, Silent Valley
Water Boundary post, Silent Valley
An old post located at the Silent Valley. The inscription at the top of the post reads "Water Boundary 1841". It is most probably a post indicating the limits of the newly-formed Belfast Water Commissioners (founded 1840) and has been moved here as part of the information on the supply of water to Belfast.
