Braid Road reopened - southbound only
Braid Road reopened - southbound only
After a year of Covid-induced closure, as part of Edinburgh's 5 million 'Spaces for People' programme to encourage walking and cycling, and discourage vehicular traffic, the road reopened to southbound traffic on 19 April. So, after a year of freedom, pedestrians, cyclists, skate boarders, sledgers [it's a nice hill], mobility scooters and horse riders etc. are confined to a miscellany of lanes again. A controversial closure, followed by a controversial reopening. I hope that, whatever the final outcome is, they will tidy up and get rid of what is known as 'road clutter'.
