Natural arch near Redhythe Point
Natural arch near Redhythe Point
This shows a natural arch - perhaps "The Bow". It is the same arch as in NJ5767 : Natural arch near Redhythe Point and from the same side. The opposite side view is shown in NJ5767 : Natural arches near Redhythe Point. The upper arch so clearly visible in the latter photo is only visible as a depression above and to the right of the top of this arch. The diagonal shadow to the left of this arch is the entrance to a supratidal (above the tide) cave which is consistent with the OS Namebook description of 'Bow Cave' ie “A small fishure [sic] in cliff, terminating in a small cave, on the sea coast, near Redhythe Point.”
