Pitsligo Parish Kirk
Pitsligo Parish Kirk
Designed in 1890 by A Marshall Mackenzie of Marischal College (Aberdeen) fame to replace the old kirk some 50 metres to the south. The small dark stones set between the granite blocks are apparently called Aberdeen bond or bonding. The kirk is now out of use but occasionally opened to allow the magnificent woodwork of the 1634 Forbes loft (transferred from the old kirk) to be seen. A-listed (LB15911: LinkExternal link ) for the interior.
