NY1117 : Fence rising towards Gavel Fell

taken 4 years ago, near to Croasdale, Cumbria, England

Fence rising towards Gavel Fell
Fence rising towards Gavel Fell
The fence, seen from its climb having crossed Grain Gill, appears to have many 'singed', not to say burned fence posts. There has clearly been quite extensive burning of vegetation among the hills of this area. What vegetation and for what purpose in unknown, at least by the photographer.
