Priority post box at Hawkhurst Moor
The Royal Mail designated some 15,000 letter boxes as priority for the collection and onward transmission of Covid-19 home test kits during the 2020/21 pandemic. This one has its status displayed on the notice near the top of the box which is situated on the northern side of The Moor. Hawkhurst Moor is a village rather than a moor and gets its name from an open area of grassland, like a very large village green, at its centre.
