Wall pennywort above Newfoundland Cove
Wall pennywort above Newfoundland Cove
The rupestris part of wall pennywort's Latin name, Umbilicus rupestris, means that it lives on walls and cliffs. There are neither in the immediate vicinity here but the plant still manages to rear up in this curious fashion from the woodland floor.
