Stack, Seaford Head
Stack, Seaford Head
A chalk stack below the cliffs of Seaford Head. This is a rapidly developing feature - see LinkExternal link for a series of photos showing how it developed from a cliff buttress. Also see TV4898 : Seaford cliffs for a photo just 14 or so years earlier, when the stack was much bigger than here.

Whilst a more recent comparison (see TV4898 : Stack, Seaford Head) shows little obvious change in the stack itself, the current photo shows clearly the effect of a substantial rockfall from the cliff beyond which took place in March 2021.
