This small road leaves Rundthwaite heading north east towards a ford through the River Lune to reach Tebay, although by that time it is no more than a farm track. This stretch with newly laid, mostly hawthorn, hedge, lies between the M6 motorway and the West Coast Main Line railway, beneath both of which it passes.
