Ordnance Survey cut mark benchmark levelled at 17.952m above Newlyn Datum verified 1972.
Ordnance Survey records also show that a benchmark levelled at 56.900 feet above Liverpool Datum was cut on the parapet during the 1844/5 Carlisle to Sark Bridge 1GL Survey. The surveyor's description was 'No. 20. Mark on East pier of bridge over stream ; 2.05 ft. below mark on crown of battlement, and 1.34 ft. above surface'
