Opened in 1880 by the Midland railway on the line from Nottingham to Melton Mowbray, this station closed to passengers in 1957.
View south east towards Melton Mowbray. In service, the station had to parallel platforms on a double track main line - only one platform survived when this image was taken. After closure to normal rail services, the line was singled and converted into the Old Dalby Test Track by British Rail.
