Paeony/Peony
The peony or paeony is a perennial flowering plant that is native to Asia, Europe and Western North America. Most grow between one and three feet tall although some are woody shrubs that can be much larger.
Peonies are popular garden plants, grown for their large, spectacular, and often fragrant, flowers although they have a relatively short blooming season, usually only 7–10 days in late spring and early summer. They are also sold as cut flowers on a large scale and, when in season, are often used for bridal bouquets and centrepieces, as well as everyday arrangements.
