Oakwood Grove, northeast Warwick
There are signs of spring: planted native daffodils to the left of the couple; elsewhere, delicate flowers of cherry plum. The spinney is thought to be an early 20th-century plantation on the Guy's Cliffe estate, retained when the area was developed for housing. It is one of Warwick District Council's nine or ten Local Nature Reserves, managed in partnership with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and local people.
