Excavating a stony mound, Fawdon Hill
Extension of trench opened in first season of excavation in September 2019 NY8993 : Excavating a stony mound, Fawdon Hill to include the whole cairn. Despite further careful removal of stones comprising a proportion of the cairn few finds were made with little evidence for date and why it had been constructed.
