This building, accessed through a wrought iron gate from Main Street, is believed to have been the pistol factory of the renowned Thomas Caddell. He started making all metal guns in Doune in 1645.

The building, which is Category C listed, was restored in 1983. There is a blue plaque NN7201 : Blue plaque on the wall.
