The remains of the 36/18 runway, RAF Milfield
A view down the remains of the 36/18 runway, which would have been 1,400 yards long and 50 yards wide and composed of concrete and wood chippings. Only a relatively small section remains, the rest having been removed during gravel extraction works in the 1970s.

The Cheviot Hills provide a fine backdrop on a beautiful July evening.

This photograph was taken during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic of 2020/21.
