NT9433 : From the end of the runway: Borders Flying Club

taken 4 years ago, near to Milfield, Northumberland, England

From the end of the runway: Borders Flying Club
A view from the southerly extent of the former RAF Milfield's 36/18 runway overlooking the grassy sward of Borders Gliding Club's airfield. The area was excavated in the 1970s for gravel extraction, with most of the three runways disappearing in the process. The notable difference in height between the runway remnants and the gliding club's airfield is a result of these works.
