SK3587 : Bears of Sheffield: #19 Polka Dot Suit
taken 4 years ago, near to Sheffield, England

Matthew Price’s design is inspired by the polka dot – a look that he feels will never go out of style. He has taken the classic design of the polka dot and made it fresh for the 21st century by having his Bear wear a stylish suit made out of the spotted pattern. A reference to the region, he has used the Yorkshire rose to create the main pattern on the suit design and the Bear’s look is completed with a white shirt and yellow tie.
Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.
The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
